This one-day workshop is designed for competent installers looking to develop their skills and improve the quality of their workmanship when approaching the installation of cap and coving to a resilient floor covering

• The tools, equipment and PPE required
• Knowledge of British Standards BS 8203 (Resilient Floorcoverings) and why it should be followed
• The importance of correct material selection including adhesive and finishing profiles
• Commercial sheet vinyl products, how they behave and their limitations
• The effects on the products based on its environment – Acclimatization
• How to plan areas for installation including cove former, cap and strip

• The proper use of tools, equipment and PPE (including heat guns)
• Accurate installation methods for subfloor, vinyl, adhesive and finishing profiles
• Setting out  free hand cutting and scribing for cap and cove flooring
• Installation of commercial sheet vinyl products (cap and cove) including safety flooring and smooth vinyl
• Joining commercial sheet vinyl utilising Hot and cold weld

• Confidence in correct products, tools and equipment selection
• Confidence in product performance based on correct installation techniques
