This one-day workshop is designed for installers who want to improve their knowledge and understanding of how to install stairs correctly.

• knowledge of British Standards BS 5325 (Textile/Carpet) and why it should be followed
• The importance of correct material selection including underlay, gripper and carpet
• An introduction to stretch fit carpet techniques on stairs
• The Limitation on products and tools during installation
  

• Proper use of tools, equipment and PPE
• Accurate installation methods for underlays, gripper and carpet
• Appropriate stretching and cutting in techniques for straight stairs and kite winders
• How to correctly install plain and patterned carpet (including pattern alignment)

• Confidence in correct products, tools and equipment selection
• The ability to reassure customers that using the techniques outlined will ensure work is quality assured
• Confidence to use correct installation techniques for stairs to meet British Standards
