This one-day workshop is designed for installers looking to improve their knowledge and skills on how to stretch carpets correctly including power stretching

• The tools, equipment and PPE required (including power stretchers)
• The advantages of correctly stretching and installing carpet to British Standards BS 5325 (Textile/Carpet)
• The importance of correct material selection including underlay, gripper, carpet and finishes
• Stretching patterns and how they affect the products
• The Limitation on products and tools during installation

• Proper use of tools, equipment and PPE
• Accurate installation methods for underlays, gripper and carpet
• Appropriate Installation of stretch fit carpets using various techniques including knee kicker and tubed power stretcher
• Correct stretching of plain and patterned carpet (including pattern alignment)

• Confidence in correct products, tools and equipment selection
• The ability to reassure customers that using the techniques outlined will ensure work is quality assured
• Confidence to use correct installation techniques to meet British Standards
